Associate Warehouse Manager - Seedway, LLC - Trumansburg, NY

We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada.

 

Salary Range - $18.00 - $20.00 / hour

 

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Provide accurately labeled, quality product at the most reasonable cost and assist in daily operational duties at the facility.

 

 

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

 

Supervises, leads, and develops warehouse workers.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Responsible for ensuring that product is packaged at correct weight.

 

Responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving and ensuring accuracy.

 

Maintains an accurate count of product bagged.

 

Operates necessary machinery such as forklifts, mixers, baggers, treaters, etc.

 

Monitors all warehouse activities, assists in problem solving and recommends solutions to Warehouse Manager.

 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

May be required to drive and run local errands as needed and work at other facilities.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of warehouse related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of receiving, maintaining, labeling and shipping product.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

 

Understanding of state seed laws pertaining to product labeling and identification.

 

Ability to lift 75 lbs.

 

Ability to operate a forklift and obtain and maintain OSHA training.

           

Ability to work extended hours and beyond those considered normal.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

 

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
