Product Development Coordinator - Seedway - Work from Home, TX


Seedway is headquartered in Hall, New York with branches in Pennsylvania, Florida, Vermont, Maine, and New York. Seedway has about 220 employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 15,000 customers. The cooperative does business in farm, vegetable, and turf seed. Seedway is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.



Coordinate product management and product development plans. Organize, distribute and track trials and Product Development projects on company wide basis providing reports to management on status and results.





Maintain crop management plans coordinating and summarizing input from management, sales and product development staff


Request trial seed as needed


Prepare and distribute trials to meet objectives of crop management plans


Maintain database of trial seed, to include information on receipt, distribution and on hand inventory


Follow up and document trials progress and results


Process trial reports for distribution to suppliers and management


Coordinate, track progress and submit reports required for supplier incentive programs.


Oversee GAP certification process and provide growers with documentation required for their inspections


Develop and implement employee training program as required to maintain GAP certification


Assist in continued development of forms and SRC process and use


Assist in maintenance and evaluation of trials as required and assigned





Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.


Performs all other duties as assigned.





Associate degree in Agricultural discipline or Business with agriculture background. BS degree preferred and crops background preferred.


Proficient in use of computers and business software.


Demonstrate essential abilities including general business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development


Able to work extended hours sometimes beyond what is considered “normal”


Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record


Must be able to travel independently and overnight


Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Growmark’s policies and additional training as it relates to requirements of the position
