SALARY RANGE: $15 to $17 / hour
REPORTS TO: Accounting Department STATUS: Non-Exempt
The Administrative Assistant Student Internship is a learning opportunity designed for students pursuing careers in agriculture, business, or related fields. This role supports the agronomy team with administrative tasks, organizational responsibilities, and customer service activities, providing valuable insight into the operational side of agricultural businesses.
- Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
- Carries out administrative duties such as filing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
- Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
- Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
- Assist in monthly customer statement distribution.
- Coordinates, schedules, and prepares for meetings, as requested.
- Answers phone and communicates with appropriate personnel to resolve customer inquiries promptly.
- Always demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Pays close attention to detail, prioritizes work daily, and displays organization skills to keep up with continuously changing demands.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assists department staff as needed.
- Comply with the uniform policy and uphold a professional appearance.
- Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures as they apply.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Educations and Experience
Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college, or university and in good academic standing at the time the internship begins.
