PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT 

 The User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX) Intern will support the development of intuitive, data-driven dashboards and enhance user engagement with FS Optics tools. This role involves analyzing user data, assisting with project wireframing, and conducting user interface testing. Additionally, the intern will create training materials and collaborate with users to identify business cases that highlight the value of specific widgets. This position provides hands-on experience in UI/UX design and data visualization.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

Analyze user data and support the development of interactive dashboards that help businesses interpret user engagement patterns and identify training needs.

Participate in project wireframing and test user interfaces to improve usability and user satisfaction.

Develop training resources to help end-users optimize the use of widgets, increasing overall effectiveness.

Work with users to identify real-world business cases that demonstrate the value and functionality of widgets within the FS Optics system.

Partner with a team of four employees, including shadowing experienced team members, to gain in-depth exposure to UI/UX best practices, project management, and data analysis.

REQUIREMENTS 

Knowledge of data analysis and data visualization tools is preferred, along with basic familiarity with UI/UX design principles and tools.

Strong analytical abilities with an interest in data interpretation and design thinking to create user-centered solutions.

Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate within the team and translate findings to non-technical users.

Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on user experience enhancement.

You are pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field (Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering) at a 4-year university   

You are in good academic status
