PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
This position is responsible for operating all systems, including office operations, supervising, assigning, and coordinating all Operators to fulfill the day to day obligations of the warehouse distribution complex, and in the absence of the Terminal Manager, able to assume and successfully perform those responsibilities temporarily.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHP
Supervises, leads and develops Operator I, II, and III.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assign, communicate and coordinate day to day responsibilities amongst operational staff so that obligations are achieved in a safe and efficient manner.
Ability to recognize changing conditions or obligations, evaluate all appropriate options and the related trade-offs, then demonstrate the ability to make a decision in a timely and thoughtful manner.
Demonstrate leadership promoting best practices and the ability to train operational staff.
Consistent demonstration of both written and verbal communication appropriate for the situation.
Understanding of all procedural obligations including those related to safety and assist the Terminal Manager with compliance.
Ability to perform all Operator III essential functions and office operations, and other assigned job functions.
Ability to use computer, including Microsoft Office suit (Word, Excel, Outlook and more), business systems, email, and phone.

Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 10 years or more of operator work experience to demonstrate proficiency in all terminal activities.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Frequently exposed to the following conditions: Extreme weather (hot, cold, wet, etc.), noisy conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safely measures.
May be required to work at varying heights and confined spaces.
Must be able to lift 71-100 lbs.
Will be required to work extended hours
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
