What Will You Do

 

MID-CO is a leading provider of grain market solutions and agricultural services. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional value and expertise to our clients and affiliates within the GROWMARK network. We are seeking a dedicated Broker Assistant to join our team, responsible for ensuring the seamless processing of orders, managing customer information, and maintaining accurate accounting records.

 

  • Dispatch and record orders with clearing brokers using electronic order entry systems and phone communication.
  • Monitor the status of work orders, conduct verifications with clearing brokers, and assist in resolving any discrepancies.
  • Handle margin calls and excess funds by initiating cash movements and verifying transactions.
  • Verify the accuracy of daily futures and options trades and input daily activity into the accounting system.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as updating trading platform billing, sending customer notifications, and processing invoices.

 

 

What Skills are Required

 

  • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong math and accounting skills, with the ability to work with complex reconciliations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, and willingness to learn new software tools.
