Responsible for championing and leading all enterprise Lean Six Sigma activities and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization. The individual in this role will oversee all aspects of GROWMARK’s Lean Six Sigma transformation including implementation, policies and training. Assists the Executive Director, Digital Transformation as requested.




Provides leadership and direction to cross functional teams empowered to execute a continuous improvement strategy.




Deliver breakthrough levels of improvement in process capability and business processes to reduce defects and attain best in class levels of quality and customer experience.


Facilitate, train and coach team members in the use of Lean Six Sigma tools. Provide mentorship to key personnel in developing a culture of Lean Six Sigma throughout the organization.


Facilitate cross functional team projects designed to streamline processes, improve the customer experience, enable profitable growth and increase operational efficiency.


Develop and drive value stream mapping (VSM) and VSM continuous improvement roadmaps, actions plans, and create standard processes throughout the organization.


Work with business leaders to uncover and assess Lean Six Sigma opportunities for GROWMARK, its suppliers and customers.


Constantly seek, share and implement best practices across the enterprise.


Develop key operational metrics to measure overall division and organizational performance.


Partner with teams to identify potential process improvement projects, assess gaps and develop gap closure plans.


Assist green and black belt candidates in the identification of impactful projects necessary to gain those certifications.




Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.


Performs all other duties as assigned.




Requires a bachelor’s degree in business-related field or equivalent and prefer at least 6-7 years of demonstrated utilization of lean six sigma principles in a business environment.


Requires a Six Sigma black belt designation.


Proven track record for developing, training and coaching teams.


Experience in project management, change management, digital metrics, curriculum development and coaching.


Proficient at clearly defining, analyzing, and resolving problems and process weaknesses and then applying a formal root cause corrective action methodology.


Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, problem solving, decision making and skill development.


Must have a valid driver’s license and passport with the ability to work extended hours and travel independently overnight.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
