PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Creates professional, influential graphic design for a wide variety of digital and printed media to help execute marketing strategies. Assures that the GROWMARK & FS System’s marketing thrust is creative, focused, branded, effective, and coordinated across all divisions.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assists in the development and management of the FS & GROWMARK brand marketing strategies and initiatives in collaboration with the enterprise marketing team.

 

Collaborates with marketing strategists and content analysts across the enterprise marketing team to ensure all digital content supports the overall strategy related to goals, voice and brand. 

 

Takes direction from Design Manager and Design Lead to develop and execute graphic strategies and solutions.

 

Creates graphic design for wide variety of digital and printed media, including social graphics, motion graphics, logos, brochures, banners, small and large format graphics.

 

Develops and maintains brand standards through proper use of typography, photography, illustration, motion graphics and more.

 

Creates a consistent brand image across multiple digital platforms such as websites, apps, social media, etc. by incorporating elements of user experience (UX) design and user interface (UI) design.

 

Fosters collaborative approach to visual problem-solving. Generates ideas and creative solutions to graphic problems. Influences stakeholders by explaining and defending graphic choices.

 

Works in a Mac-based environment utilizing digital graphic design software.

 

Works closely with the Production team to ensure projects are completed and routed to stakeholders on time. Works with printers, freelance designers and other vendors as needed.

 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible to stay actively engaged and build overall personal awareness of current and emerging trends, best practices, and other relevant information related to enterprise marketing with an emphasis on digital.

 

In collaboration with leadership, proactively researches both industry and competitors' marketing approach both at enterprise and regional level for awareness and overall effectiveness.

 

Stays current with design trends and is committed to consistently finding fresh creative solutions.

 

Proficient in digital asset management systems such as Bynder, and workflow management systems such as Monday.

 

Confidently and concisely build recommendations and present to all levels of leadership. Ability to effectively communicate both technical and non-technical information internally and externally.

 

Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team.

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent training to demonstrate graphic design knowledge and skills. 2 + years of professional experience preferred.

 

Outstanding portfolio of graphic design work and an overall understanding of brand strategy.

 

Strong command of digital graphic design software (including Adobe Creative Cloud programs: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. Experience in After Effects preferred.)

 

Advanced typographic skills, including font pairings and modern text styling. Advanced layout and composition skills.

 

Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects with multiple parts, with long and short deadlines.

 

Knowledge and experience in working with digital assets and commercial printing processes.

 

Meticulous attention to detail and quality control.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
