PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Leads a team of marketers to build strategic, customer-centric, marketing plans which drive business results. Ensures strategic and goal alignment with product lines throughout the organization and reports progress and results to executive leadership.

 

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHP

Leads, develops, and supervises Marketing Strategists and Member Marketing Consultants to implement holistic marketing strategy from the Bloomington, IL corporate office.
 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for leading a team of Marketing Strategists and Member Marketing Consultants to develop strategic marketing plans that achieve business objectives.

 

Collaborates with sales and marketing leaders within GROWMARK business units to create marketing strategies for both GROWMARK and FS brands which span the entire sales funnel and consider cross-selling opportunities.  

 

Leads the strategic development and planning of the FS and GROWMARK brand campaigns and collaborates with Enterprise Marketing team members to execute and implement tactics to support campaign objectives.  

 

Ensures connection between GROWMARK business unit and FS Member sales and marketing strategies through communication, collaboration, and the creation of shared objectives.

 

Develops strategy for customer segmentation, profiles, and targeting to increase marketing campaign effectiveness, leading to increased customer acquisition and revenue opportunities.

 

Establishes goals for marketing intitatives in alignment with enterprise objectives. On a quarterly basis, reports goal progress and plans for campaign optimization to sales and marketing leadership.

 

Develops brand style guide to create consistency of tone and messaging. Collaborates with Mgr, Production, Purchasing, and Design, who is responsible for brand/logo identity standards.

 

Responsible for going to market on time, on budget, with appropriate campaign measurement, tracking, and reporting in place.

Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing or business, or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of Marketing related work experience (at least 3 in management) to demonstrate knowledge of Marketing Strategy, Planning, and Go-to-Market execution. Strong relationship building skills and ability to negotiate to achieve shared results.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Proven supervisory and leadership skills including staffing, orientation, coaching, performance evaluations, training, and the ability to achieve results through others.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary.

 

May be required to lift and move 21-50 lbs.

 

May be required to work beyond what are considered normal business hours.

 

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
