PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Handles incoming certificates of insurance and contract compliance, inventory reports, GROWMARK workers compensation and automobile insurance and handles Medcor.  Exercises outstanding customer service while interacting with vendors, member companies and GROWMARK divisions. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Reviews GROWMARK, its divisions and subsidiaries’ in-coming certificates of insurance for accuracy and contract compliance while maintaining the associated SharePoint site and updating SAP.
  • Handles the collection and reporting of inventory values for GROWMARK, its divisions and subsidiaries to the insurance carriers. 
  • Reports GROWMARK U.S. wholesale workers compensation claims to the insurance carriers and obtains and submits needed materials for those claims.
  • Updates and maintains Riskonnect database (Risk Management Information System) to include but not limited to policy changes, asset values, property photos and locations, and associated files and documents.
  • Manages Medcor database, runs periodic reports and handles Medcor materials needs.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assists in various renewal and service procedures as requested.
  • Provides backup support to the Insurance Services Coordinator when absent.
  • Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Normally requires a bachelor degree in business or insurance, or the equivalent thereof, and insurance related work experience to demonstrate knowledge and ability to respond to member cooperative insurance questions.
  • Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
  • Requires the Illinois Property/Casualty Insurance Agent’s license and other states as requested or the ability to obtain these.
  • Understanding and experience with insurance coverages, renewals, invoicing, data collection and management, math and business writing skills.
  • Demonstrated professional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills and the ability to establish and maintain working relationships with employees and managers at all levels of the organization and with clients, customers, etc.
  • Demonstrated planning and organizational skills. The ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, prioritize work, and deal with deadlines with proven “attention to detail” skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to get work done through others, work independently, and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proven computer skills including database management, Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Proven ability to maintain complete confidentiality.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
