PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under the strategic direction of the Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition, oversees GROWMARK Student Programs including the GROWMARK Internship, GROWMARK Exploring Agriculture internship and Job Shadow Programs. Acts as the key driver of engagement with universities and academic organizations, ensures the successful planning, execution and assessment of student programs, and leads organizational success by attracting exceptional emerging talent.

 

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

Supervises, leads and develops the Student Recruiters, and seasonal Campus Ambassadors, while providing leadership to Retail/Subsidiary and member HR and Recruiting staff and Member Employment on Student Recruiting programming and initiatives.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Orchestrates the strategic planning, development, implementation and comprehensive evaluation of the GROWMARK System’s Student Programs to ensure the effective placement of top talent into meaningful internship programs and employment opportunities.

 

Constructs, refines and executes innovative and competitive campus recruiting strategies based on System recruiting goals, metrics, and hiring objectives.  Builds a strong pipeline of student candidates that align with business priorities, recruiting targets, and talent forecasting goals. 

 

Elevates the System's reputation at targeted colleges and universities, positioning GROWMARK and its Members as the preferred employers of choice. Diligently oversees the planning, execution and enhancement of the cornerstone Student Programs: GROWMARK Internship, Campus Ambassador, Exploring Agriculture and Job Shadow.

 

Facilitates close collaboration with Corporate and FS System managers and recruiters, fostering a deep understanding of talent requirements.

 

Devise and implement innovative strategies for the seamless integration of entry-level talent and recent graduates into various roles within the System, ensuring a dynamic and mutually beneficial match between their skills and the company’s evolving needs.

 

Leverage data-driven insights to refine strategies, optimize talent pipelines, and ensure a high-performing program that consistently translates into successful conversions from student roles to valuable, long-term contributors within the organization.

 

Manages relationships with the National AFA, National and State PAS chapters, FFA and the Collegiate Farm Bureau, coordinating GROWMARK employees for event participation and sponsorship donations.

 

In collaboration with the Recruiting Marketing Analyst, guides Student Recruiting content and communications on all GROWMARK Websites and social media platforms to ensure they align the GROWMARK and/or Member employment brand and are updated to meet all legal requirements.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintains a current knowledge concerning employment-related legislation.

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources, marketing or business-related field, or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years or more of recruiting-related work experience to demonstrate the ability to provide college and university relations leadership to the GROWMARK System.

 

Proven supervisory and leadership skills and the ability to achieve results through others.

 

PHR is normally required to demonstrate advanced training or human resource knowledge.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position. 

 

Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel independently, frequently, and overnight when necessary.

 

Ability to work beyond “normal” business hours.

                                                                             

Ability to transport recruiting materials and assemble career displays.
