PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
The Training Consultant assesses system-wide developmental needs to drive employee and leadership training initiatives. Researches training solutions, designs curriculum, and leverages data to evaluate the performance of enterprise training & development programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Consults with business divisions and member companies. Works directly with the Sr. Manager of Training & Development and Senior System Leadership, to design, develop, and deliver training programs that support business results and that are in alignment with department strategic objectives. Conducts analysis to determine if the business need was met by the recommended development solution.
Leads and facilitates GROWMARK Corporate talent review process guiding and advising company leaders to identify high potential talent and build robust development plans to close succession gaps.
Supports the development, implementation and maintenance of online educational resources and tools.
Coordinates with Trainers on the creation and implementation of instructor guide/lesson plans.
Reviews and recommends vendors and serves as a relationship liaison to vendor contacts in support of GROWMARK System learning objectives.
Defines actionable and measurable training goals and objectives, based on the priorities established by the Sr. Manager, Training & Development. Maintains training program plans that align with but are not limited to:

Develops, facilitates, and coordinates training and learning sessions for Senior Leadership, General Manager, and Executive roles.
Creates and maintains a culture of support, collaboration, excellence, and achievement.
Leverages Success Factors HR software to gather talent data, develop reports, and analyze trends.
Conducts needs analysis to identify gaps and solutions at the individual, team and organizational levels (e.g. through interviews, focus groups, data collections and analysis).
Guides change-related initiatives and communication plans associated with the execution of new deliverables.
Provides coaching to managers, supervisors and teams on development best practices.
Provides counsel to managers, supervisors, and employees on training programs utilizing in-house and outside sources. Identifies, directs, and assesses outside instructors, speakers, and consultants as necessary to conduct effective supervisory programs.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources, education, business, or business-related discipline. 10+ years of corporate training or related professional learning & development experience, with 3-5 years of System or human resource work experience to demonstrate knowledge of business development needs. Master’s degree preferred or work toward PHR, SPHR, CPLP or other HR or Training Designations.
Normally requires 2-3 years of proven team building skills including staffing, coaching, performance evaluation, etc. and the ability to achieve results through others.
Understanding and experience in planning, researching, developing, presenting, and assessing training activities and programs along with instructional design including training focus, needs analysis, content development, and technological proficiency.
Experience implementing organizational change models, consulting with senior leaders on strategies for change management, and applying ADKAR methodology is preferred.
Proven excellence in professional communications, presentation, persuasion, and facilitation skills; in person and virtual instructor lead.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Comprehensive knowledge of instructional design best practices, techniques and delivery methods. Able to successfully develop curriculum, content, and evaluation models for deployment through multiple methods within learning programs.
Highly developed communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Proven ability to partner effectively with leadership and stakeholders to meet business objectives.
Experience with learning development software. Ability and desire to learn and understand new technologies and tools.
Occasionally required to work at varying heights.
Frequently required to work extended hours, along with lifting and moving objects of 21 – 50 lbs.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record, in addition to maintaining a valid Passport, be able to travel independently, frequently, and overnight when necessary.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
