Production Operator - GROWMARK, Inc. - Council Bluffs, IA

The GROWMARK lubricant manufacturing facility, located in Council Bluffs, Iowa, formulates a variety of lubricant products for distribution to FS member cooperatives and other lubricant distributors. In addition, FS, Archer, and United brands of lubricants are marketed through the facility. The lubricant manufacturing facility is part of the GROWMARK System, a regional agricultural cooperative serving more than 250,000 customers across North America.

 

 

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of one production station in accordance with GROWMARK polices and procedures.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Responsible for the required production documentation and the steps necessary to correctly complete the documentation.

 

Responsible for the safe, accurate and proper procedure to connect and disconnect from the station.

 

Responsible for performing the proper sampling procedures for all container sizes packaged at the station.

 

Responsible for the quality standards necessary to successfully operate the station (i.e. Label orientation, container integrity, package quality).

 

Responsible for performing basic troubleshooting techniques in the event of an operational problem.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Responsible for maintaining the assigned equipment and area in accordance to company standards, adheres to the company Uniform Policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a high school.diploma and a basic understanding of mathematical functions.

 

Prefer experience in manufacturing best practices, inventory development and management, health, safety and environmental regulatory compliance, and product knowledge and proficiency including lubricants.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Proven team building skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. 

 

Demonstrated planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.

 

Ability to frequently lift up to 60#’s

 

Ability to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
