PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Leads approved members in developing and implementing annual energy marketing and business development strategies that maximize profitable growth.  Assumes responsibility for leading and assisting approved GROWMARK members with targeted sales calls and training consistent with corporate and division guidelines. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Leads approved members in developing and implementing annual energy marketing and business development strategies and programs to maximize profitable sales.  Provides, via designated reporting tool(s), weekly summary that reviews completed activities and identifies planned activities based on annual plans. Provides sales coaching and performance feedback to direct member supervisors.

 

Assists members in approved territories with targeted sales calls in select market segments to maximize the GROWMARK System sales of all energy products and services.

 

Develops market analysis for all energy products and services with approved members that result in maximum market penetration for the GROWMARK Energy Division.

 

Provides input to the assigned members and GROWMARK Energy Division staff for the development of marketing strategies that help position the FS/GROWMARK System as an industry leader.

 

Coordinates training programs and product update meetings for all energy products and market segments.

 

Participate in Energy Division and Region Energy meetings under the direction of the Energy Sales and Marketing Director(s).

 

Represents GROWMARK Energy Division at industry association meetings and trade shows in assigned area.

 

Attends necessary meetings and seminars to maintain and improve technical and marketing skills.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a college degree in marketing, management, or business-related field or equivalent, plus a minimum of 10 years of energy industry experience to demonstrate the ability to provide retail operations leadership to the assigned territory.

 

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.

 

Must have the ability to travel independently and frequent overnight travel is required, including occasional air travel.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Understanding and experience with retail energy-related areas including marketing/sales, marketing strategy, product mix; business, new product, and market development; retail training, financial statements, legal documentation, competitive adeptness, procurement, inventory management, distribution, policies and procedures, and compliance along with energy retail planning, program execution, budgeting, and communications.

 

Proven computer skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
