PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Under direction of the Spec, Sales - Construction, works directly with the assigned crew personnel to accomplish tasks in a safe and productive manner providing a positive construction experience for our patrons.  Provides day to day leadership and direction to the assigned crew personnel.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    
Works with assigned crew on construction projects and service repairs from start to finish.

Interprets sales contracts, construction plans, and material lists to ensure projects are completed to specifications.

Ability to properly use hand and power tools, climb ladders, and measure and square projects without direct supervision.

Uses proper construction methods and safety practices and procedures.  

Ability to use all necessary equipment to complete projects and instruct crew personnel on the proper use of equipment, including but not limited to:
•    Forklifts  
•    Skid Steers
•    Telehandlers  
•    Trencher  
•    Scissor and Boom Lifts  
•    Various power and other operating tools  

Keeps accurate job records and strives to complete projects at or below the man-hours sold for applicable projects.  

Performs necessary maintenance on trucks and equipment.

Keeps clean and safe job sites.

Assists with the general maintenance and upkeep of the department facility.  

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Attends company and department meetings and training programs.

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of construction and leadership skills.  

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record. Must have the ability to acquire and maintain a CDL license if required to by supervisor.  

Continuously exposed or required to: 

•    Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
•    Noisy conditions
•    Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
•    Work at varying heights 
•    Confined spaces
•    Lift 71-100 lbs 
•    Push heavy objects.

Ability to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
