SALARY RANGE: $79,500.00 - $109,287.50

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
This position is responsible for providing engineering, design, estimating, procurement, and project management services as directed, for customers’ facilities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs facility engineering activities as assigned and assures engineering work is performed in accordance with standards of reasonable professional skill and diligence.
Ensures compliance with codes, regulations, standards, and safety practices on assigned projects. Assists customers in obtaining operational and construction permits. Provides regulatory input through industry association involvement and code writing participation.
Leads customers through projects by conducting professional interviews, providing technically sound alternatives, collaboratively defining project scope and definition, and responding with quality deliverables.
Investigates and resolves facility operations problems through expert knowledge and applied engineering principles. Solicits assistance from qualified others as necessary.
Establishes project specifications, provides cost estimates and construction management including: vendor and contractor selection and oversight, contract administration, site inspections, payment processing, job costing, and proactive customer communications.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Develops professional working relationships with consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.
Participates in industry and professional organizations. Proactively shares engineering knowledge and training with Engineering staff.
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent plus at least 2 years of engineering / construction experience and demonstrates the ability to provide facility design and engineering leadership to the GROWMARK System.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must be able to provide evidence of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and ability with further experience, education, and examination to become registered as a PE in States on an as-needed, assigned basis.
Possess knowledge and experience working with the storage, transport, handling, packaging, and distribution of Liquid and Dry Fertilizer, and other Agrichemicals, Seed, Grain, and Agricultural Input products or knowledge and experience working with Pressure Vessels, Propane, Anhydrous Ammonia, Fuels, Lubricants, etc
Possess knowledge of construction techniques and procedures including contracts, change orders, lien wavers, payments, completions, and start-ups.
Have proven computer skills including AutoCAD and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Must have and maintain a valid passport and have the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary.
Occasionally required to traverse construction and facility sites, climb building and other structure heights, and ability to lift and carry 60 pounds as needed to inspect and investigate projects.
Travel for this position is project dependent with typical annual travel of 20% - 30%.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
