PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Responsible for the administration of compensation programs that support fair, equitable and competitive pay practices across the organization. Supports the market analysis and grading of positions and provides management with recommendations that are within defined guidelines and government regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Administers exempt and non-exempt position evaluations, internal equity assessments, and market analysis of U.S. and Canadian positions. Provides leadership to management on the development of job descriptions, pay grades, and pay recommendations for employees. Ensures adherence to established company guidelines and all government/Department of Labor regulations.
Collaborates with supervisors to maintain current job descriptions. Utilizes market pricing software and other resources to obtain the best possible market data and ensure accurate, competitive position grading. Coordinates with the Recruiting team to ensure positions are assigned correct codes for EEO1 and Affirmative Action and salary recommendations for new employees, promotions and lateral transfers.
Supports the annual salary administration program, including system preparation, timeline coordination, and analysis of management recommendations. Responsible for coordinating and leading the planning of the salary administration process including system preparation, timelines/due dates, and budget analysis of management recommendations.
Supports the annual survey participation process, including data preparation, submission, and preliminary analysis of market results.
Supports organizational changes and reorganizations by conducting job evaluations, compensation analysis, and modeling to assess impacts on pay and structure. Maintains position and job data within HR systems, ensuring accuracy of job hierarchy, titles, and compensation-related information.
Utilizes analytical expertise to ensure compensation program design levels are appropriate and competitive. Maintains a thorough knowledge of all GROWMARK compensation policies and procedures in order to respond to questions, research, prepare requests, and make recommendations related to grading, policy administration, and handling exceptions to policy.
Supports the maintenance and updates of Compensation Policies and Procedure Guidelines and provides guidance to supervisors to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Provides guidance to ensure legal compliance of all compensation policies and practices with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Department of Labor (DOL) and Employment Standards Act (ESA).
Provides analysis and reports as needed using HR systems and tools. Supports other areas of Human Resources with reporting and analysis as needed.
Supports compensation-related communication and training efforts by preparing materials, data, and analysis for leaders and employee groups.
Provides supporting knowledge and input for other HR programs including the company paid-time off program, career ladders, position-in-grade, pay equity, and paid military leave. Assists in maintaining job description standards and templates, ensuring consistency and alignment with established frameworks.
Participates in projects and collaborates with other teams to review new compensation programs. Makes recommendations for programs that support company initiatives and drive employee engagement.

REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field, or the equivalent thereof, and a minimum of 3-4 years or more of human resources/compensation related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of compensation policies, processes and practices. Certified Compensation Professional designation preferred.
Proven advanced Excel skills required for analysis and plan design.
Demonstrated mathematical aptitude with an understanding of business concepts and the ability to develop a working knowledge of compensation, salary administration, performance management, and variable pay.
Demonstrated planning, organization, and problem-solving skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and work under strict deadlines with proven “attention to detail” skills.
Proven leadership and communication skills and the ability to work independently, and in a team-oriented environment.
Proven computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) along with report generation and the ability to learn and use other required software.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
