PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Directs the Engineering Department and participates in management of NewTech Engineering & Enviromental, LLC.

 

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

 

Supervises, leads, and develops Engineering and Project Management positions.

 

Ensures assigned employees are technically competent, industry knowledgeable, and customer focused.  Creates development opportunities so employees learn new skills, expand abilities, and seek greater responsibilities.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Responsible for providing technical guidance and professional engineering services for the GROWMARK System while maintaining good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Promotes and enables GROWMARK System compliance with applicable laws, codes, and regulations related to engineering services. 

 

Implements best practice engineering methods and project management processes.

 

Responsible for budgeting and management of overhead costs for the Engineering Department.

 

Negotiates contracts with 3rd parties as the need arises.

 

Oversees the development and administration of construction contracts for GROWMARK projects, directs and ensures oversight to work performed, follows company policies and AFE procedures, negotiates and resolves problems, and maintains strong communications with facility personnel and respective Division management.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Serves as collaborator and team member of the Division management staff and contributes to Divisional decisions, programs and plans.

 

Maintains industry and association presence, remains current on advances in applicable technology and programs and disseminates information throughout the appropriate Department staff.

 

Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team.

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent plus at least 10 years of related engineering or construction experience to demonstrate the ability to provide engineering services leadership to the GROWMARK System.

 

Current licensing as a Professional Engineer preferred.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Have proven computer skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.  Must have and maintain a valid passport and have the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary.

 

Occasionally required to traverse construction and facility sites, climb building and other structure heights, and ability to lift and carry 50 pounds as needed for inspection and investigation.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
