PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Manages the installation and support of Energy Applications hardware and software systems. Enables Members / Retail Divisions to improve utilization and achieve maximum benefit of Energy technologies through user training and promotion of best practices.

 

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

Supervises, leads, and develops Energy Applications Analysts, Field Network Analysts and Service Analysts. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Guides the Energy Applications team in providing leadership, training, direction, and support to Member / Retail Division management and users, as well as IT Application Support, and other IT Portfolio Staff.

 

Works through operational, accounting, and administrative staff at Members / Retail Divisions to formulate, document, and propagate best practices in Energy applications.

 

Designs training offerings to be built and shared across a variety of methods by the Energy Applications team targeting different areas of focus and user types.

 

Develops Energy technology utilization assessments and meets with Member / Retail Division management and users to complete. Partners with Member Resources to create or update strategic action plans based on mutually identified goals.

 

Collaborates with Member Resources to establish, set baselines, and track improvement in key performance metrics aimed at improving Energy technology adoption and utilization.

 

Holds annual Energy technology focus group sessions to collect Member / Retail Division feedback and to surface enhancement, training, and new technology opportunities.

 

Proactively identifies deficiencies within Energy applications and Member / Retail Division operations that could be improved across the GROWMARK System.

 

Seeks new users for Energy applications and facilitates sales demonstrations to customers.

 

Provides insight in the evaluation of new software, associated hardware, and services to be offered to customers.

 

Leads Energy Application staff in maintaining and distributing documentation and manuals to users on Energy applications and hardware.

 

Serves as liaison with Member Resources and Energy Divisions to maximize the integration of information systems and technology for Members / Retail Divisions.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team.

 

Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in information systems, accounting, business or equivalent, plus at least 5 years of related experience to demonstrate the ability to provide technology recommendations and project leadership to the GROWMARK System.

 

Understanding and experience with computer services-related areas including computer systems design, testing, integration, technical support and training, resource management, inventory management, policies, procedures, and compliance.

 

Understanding of and experience with GROWMARK customized wEBS and Agvance applications and their interfaces.

 

Understanding and experience in accounting and agri-business.

 

Proven leadership skills and the ability to achieve results through others.

 

Proven professional communication, interpersonal, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills.

 

Demonstrated planning, organization, analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving and project management skills, and the ability to read and interpret technical material.

 

Proven team building skills and the ability to work independently as well as team-oriented environment.

 

Proven computer skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

 

May be required to work hours outside of a normal workday as needed based on business needs.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as necessary.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
