PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responsible for developing, promoting, and executing IT strategy that creates simplicity and efficiency in the Energy supply chain for Members, Retails, and customers throughout the GROWMARK/FS System. Oversees the adoption and advancement of Energy applications and technology to align with, and deliver on, Member and Retail strategic business goals and objectives.

 

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

Supervises, leads, and develops the Energy Applications team to implement and enhance Energy technologies that improve daily operations and data visibility for the entire GROWMARK/FS System.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Engages General Managers and their leadership staff along with GROWMARK Strategic Relationship Leads to identify company technology needs and further drive delivery of capabilities and business transformation.

 

Responsible for the marketing, communication, and education of Energy technology and information systems throughout the GROWMARK/FS System to improve the adoption and utilization of all current IT Portfolio software and future development.

 

Collaborates with Member Resources, executive leadership, and other internal GROWMARK stakeholders to understand organizational goals and business vision to ensure alignment of technology strategy and goals.

 

Collaborates with third-party software and strategic partners to identify, define, and align overall business strategy. This includes enhancements, upgrades, adoption, and promotion of functionality that will drive a digital connection between the member companies and retails and their customers.

 

Cultivates partnerships within Member Resources and the GROWMARK/FS System that increase visibility of, and feedback on, potential future releases along the various technology roadmaps.

 

Collaborates with IT Portfolio leadership to ensure alignment and coordination within GROWMARK and at the retail level of all technology and software systems, so that seamlessly sharing of data will improve business operations for all involved.

 

Seeks out and leads the evaluation of new software, hardware, and services to be offered to Members and Retails that support their future strategy and business needs.

 

Leads the training and support of users for IT Portfolio supported Energy software systems at Members, Retails, and customers.

 

Responsible for ensuring Energy technology and software systems are enhanced to provide industry best practices and are user friendly.

 

Establishes pricing and SLAs with third party software providers that allows for profitable margining of Energy technology and services. Monitors financial results and prepares associated budgets.

 

Understands and stays attuned to the business environment in which Member and Retail, GROWMARK, suppliers, and technology providers are operating.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team.

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a Bachelor’s Degree in information systems, accounting, or business, or the equivalent thereof, and 6 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate applications working knowledge to provide computer software recommendations and leadership to Energy business areas.

 

Understanding and experience with computer services-related areas including computer system trends and direction, general accounting, and agri-business.

 

Understanding of GROWMARK customized SAP, wEBS, FBS, IoT and Agvance applications and their interfaces with assigned applications and understanding of software and hardware design and integration.

 

Ability to provide technical support, resource management, and training to new and existing users.

 

Proven leadership skills and the ability to achieve results through others.

 

Demonstrated planning, organization, analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving, and project management skills and the ability to read and interpret technical material.

 

Proven team building skills and the ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment. 

 

Proven computer skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

 

Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight as necessary.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record and passport.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
