PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

 

Provides full life-cycle recruiting support to assigned facilities, with a focus on high-impact operational and hourly roles, including drivers, technicians, and production staff. Operates under the direction of the Field Recruiting Manager to ensure consistency in strategy, candidate experience, and system-wide recruiting standards. Aligns recruiting efforts with facility business needs while contributing to a unified, high-performing talent acquisition function across the cooperative system.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Provides leadership & full life cycle recruiting for every assigned open job: conducts hiring manager intake sessions, determines job marketing strategy, and facilitates candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, pre-close, job-offer guidance, and pre-employment procedures. 

 

Develops recruiting strategies for all assigned locations with a focus on drivers, technicians, warehouse/manufacturing, production, and other operational and hourly workers. Proactively recruits and sources talent within these sectors to develop and maintain a talent pipeline for future needs. 

 

Follows affirmative action/EEO guidelines throughout all steps of the hiring process. Informs hiring managers of Affirmative Action goals and performs regular outreach to local Female, Minority, Veteran, and Disability groups and organizations.

 

Partners with the Field Recruiting team to cascade system-level recruiting practices and ensure alignment on tools, metrics, and candidate experience.

 

Conducts passive candidate sourcing activities, leveraging internal candidate databases, social platforms & other job boards and non-traditional sourcing methods to maximize talent pools, increase diversity, and attract top talent.

 

Conducts behavioral interviewing with candidates to evaluate their knowledge, skills, and abilities in relation to open positions.

 

Commits to a high-touch candidate experience, meeting defined service levels.

 

Demonstrates expertise and administration of recruitment management software system and provides recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies. 

 

Assists in the promotion of GROWMARK’s employment brand using social media, internal & external communication methods and involvement in local community events & activities.

 

Proactively engages and attracts talent at job fairs, industry networking events & trade shows, and building community college relationships for skilled trade talent pipelining in collaboration with the student recruiting team

 

Takes ownership over assigned performance goals and quarterly scorecard targets and metrics. 

 

Promotes and leverages the use of the GROWMARK Referral program to identify and recruit candidates.

 

Assists in project management functions, administration and workflow needs as directed.

 

Documents all employment-related activity and decisions related to the candidate selection process in accordance with company and governmental policies & regulations. Adheres to all company requirements related to SuccessFactors record keeping and documentation. 

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

 

Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

 

Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources or the equivalent thereof, and 1-3 years or more of human resources, recruiting, and/or business leadership experience.

 

Ability to complete the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification or the SHRM Human Resources Management Certificate Program.

 

Experience recruiting CDL drivers, warehouse workers, technicians, or similar job sectors is strongly preferred.

 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development.

 

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

 

Must have the ability to travel independently, frequently, and overnight when necessary to company/corporate/regional meetings, training sessions, and recruiting events.

 

Ability to maintain absolute professional confidentiality and privacy at all times.

 

Ability to load, transport, unload, set up, and take down career/job fair displays.

 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
