PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Collaborates with Third-Party software / hardware vendors and internal GROWMARK IT resources to enhance and upgrade Energy applications enabling Members / Retail Divisions to achieve maximum benefit of Energy technologies.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assists existing and potential Member / Retail Division users to determine their specific business needs. Then utilizes a detailed technical and functional knowledge of Energy technologies to determine the specific software applications, modifications, customizations, and enhancements necessary to meet those needs.

Participates in the application project planning efforts within Energy Portfolio related to Energy Point of Sale applications, Agvance, TankSpotter and other assigned applications to define project objectives, scope and deliverables.

Participates in ensuring supported Energy applications are designed, tested, and implemented in a manner to meet end user needs.

Coordinates with others within GROWMARK IT to develop strategies for testing, installing and maintaining new or current versions of software on hosted servers.

Oversees project management plans for the implementation of new or revised Energy application software and hardware. Coordinates with Energy Applications staff so they are adhered to and completed as scheduled.

Participates in the prioritizing of program enhancements and maintenance. Coordinates with IT Portfolio development resources and Third-Party software vendors to make certain their applications meet end user needs.

Develops and maintains industry relationships and extensive knowledge of Energy systems to ensure GROWMARK-supported tools are enhanced to provide industry best practices and are user friendly.

Assists in the identification of deficiencies within Energy applications and Member / Retail Division operations that could be improved across the GROWMARK System.

Participates in creating, maintaining, and distribution of documentation and manuals to users on assigned software application and hardware.

Collaborates with GROWMARK Data team, development teams, and vendors to facilitate data collection and validation to ensure accurate and reliable metrics reporting using systems like Tableau.

Familiar with SQL database manipulation and troubleshooting software and hardware issues. Assist support staff with resolution of ServiceNow incidents. Manages internal incidents transferred to vendors.

Participates with the evaluation of new software, associated hardware, and services to be offered to customers.

Provides training, and assistance to Member / Retail Division management and users, as well as IT Application Support, other IT Portfolio Staff, and select GROWMARK employees.

Coordinates with Member Resources and Energy Divisions to maximize the integration of information systems and technology for Members / Retail Divisions.

 

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist in the evaluation of new software, associated hardware and servers to be offered to end users.

Participates in evening and weekend Software support, upgrades and maintenance.

Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor’s degree in information systems, accounting, business or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of related experience to demonstrate the ability to provide technology recommendations and project leadership to the GROWMARK System.

Intermediate skills in SQL scripting and database manipulation preferred.

Basic understanding and experience with computer services-related areas including computer systems design, testing, integration, technical support and training, resource management, inventory management, policies, procedures, and compliance.

Basic understanding of and experience with GROWMARK customized wEBS and Agvance applications and their interfaces.

Understanding and experience in accounting and agri-business.

Leadership skills and the ability to achieve results through others.

Proven professional communication, interpersonal, persuasion, presentation, and customer service skills.

Demonstrated basic planning, organization, analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving and project management skills, and the ability to read and interpret technical material.

Proven team building skills and the ability to work independently as well as team-oriented environment.

Proven computer skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

May be required to work hours outside of a normal workday as needed based on business needs.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as necessary.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
