Process Operator - AgraForm - St. Louis, MO

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of one production station in accordance with GROWMARK polices and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Store, retrieve, mix, and monitor chemicals used in the production process.
Record accurate information such as ingredients, weights, and temperature.
Help troubleshoot issues with production equipment and processes.
Handle and control hazardous waste materials in compliance with all practices and policies as established by companies leadership.
Ability to enter confined space for entry into process tanks for cleaning.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment, tools, and work area.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for maintaining the assigned equipment and area in accordance to company standards, adheres to the company Uniform Policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma and a basic understanding of mathematical functions.
Prefer experience in manufacturing best practices, inventory development and management, health, safety and environmental regulatory compliance, and product knowledge and proficiency including lubricants.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
Proven team building skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
